Overview | Collagen Type I is a common component of most tissues in the animal kingdom including bones, dermis and tendons. Atelocollagen is pepsin-digested in an acidic solution to remove antigenic telopeptides. Blafar’s atelocollagen type I is extracted from certified BSE/TSE-free bovine Achilles tendons (Australian origin) and is treated to minimise viral and endotoxin contamination. Blafar’s collagen type I powder is suitable for use as an analytical standard for assays such as SDS-PAGE, ELISA or Western Blotting Upon solubilisation. |
