Blafar’s Hyperbranched PEG-based Multi-Acrylated Polymer (HB-PEG) is synthesised using poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEGDA) with different chain lengths as the monomers. The molecular weight, branching degree and vinyl group content of the polymers can be easily adjusted. HB-PEG possesses good biocompatibility as well as a fast gelation rate, due to high functional group density, with thiolated natural polymer (HA-SH/Gel-SH) which makes it an ideal candidate for biological applications.

Specifications available: HB-PEG – 10 kDa & 20 kDa Mw. This product is packaged in 2 mL or 10 mL glass vials.

Moreover, HB-PEG can be cross-linked by UV irradiation in the presence of the photoinitiator, making it particularly suitable for 3D bioprinting. It may be used in conjunction with ECM proteins such as collagen, laminin or fibronectin for most 3D cell culture and tissue-engineering applications.
